The talking point of many football loving fans was the controversial penalty awarded in Hearts of Oak's favour by referee Samuel Sakah in the 82nd minute.

Ahmed Adams blocked a ball with his back, but Samuel Sukah who was close  to the scene awarded a penalty for a hand ball and Vincent Atingah threw Felix Annan to the wrong path to hand the hosts the only goal of the game.

Asante Kotoko fans poured out their displeasure about the referee's decision, while Hearts of Oak fans were happy for the goal.
