The 28-year-old joined the West Ham United with high expectation after signing a 20.6m pounds club record fee, but he struggled to find a regular place in the team and his frustration intensified after Slaven Bilic the coach signed him from Swansea City to the Hammers was sacked for poor performance.

Andre Ayew has rejoined Swansea on winter transfer deadline and on his return the Ghanaian attacking midfielder has voiced out that his numbers were good yet he failed to break into the West Ham team due to injury worries.

''When I look at my statistics and everything, as soon as I got injured for a long time and went to the Africa cup and came back, when I look at my time from August to now I think am one of the most efficient players if not the efficient player but am not the one who played the most games.

I don’t have any remorse or regret but I know things could have been much better if I didn’t have these injuries and I played more games.''
