Ghanaians jubilate on social media as Akufo-Addo secures a 2nd term

Nana Akufo-Addo retains Ghana's presidency

The Chairperson of the Electoral Commission, Jean Mensa as officially declared President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo as the President-elect of Ghana.

Akufo-Addo, who contested as the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) presidential candidate, won the election after polling 51.59 of the total votes cast.

His main rival, Mahama of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) also managed to poll 47.36% of the total votes cast.

Most Ghanaians on social media are congratulating and jubilating with the President for this feat.
