Samsung’s new flagship phones Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge feature new software, cutting-edge new internal components that represent a huge leap forward in many aspects.

All of this however, comes with some steep costs. The Galaxy S6’s stunning display is impressive but also a smidgen of overkill is present. The quad HD resolution on a 5.1-inch display results in pixels that are way denser than anything the human eye can see.

Apple blog, Apple Insider, recently conducted a series of tests on the Galaxy S6 and compared the results of the  test to those of Apple’s iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.

Interestingly, the iPhone’s ‘ordinary’ dual core processor and 1GB of RAM gives the iPhone a surprisingly bigger advantage as far as graphic display is concerned. The S6’s cutting-edge octa-core Exynos processor, 3GB of LPDDR4 Ram and lightning fast UFS 2.0 flash memory makes its graphic performance take a hit because all that technology has to support a quad core HD display.

As the graphics performance test result above show, the 720p and 1080p displays on Apple’s iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus allow for better graphics performance that crushes that of Samsung’s new flagship phone by a considerable margin.
