Impact Life Insurance Launches 'Abrabopa' in Kumasi, with IBK. as Brand Ambassador
Impact Life Insurance Limited Company, one of Ghana’s emerging life insurance providers, committed to delivering affordable, innovative, and practical insurance solutions for individuals, in partnership with MTN, and operational support from CoreNett, has officially launched its newest life insurance product, Abrabopa, in Kumasi, Ashanti region.
The launch was marked by a vibrant float procession through the streets of Kumasi the Ashanti Regional capital which created widespread buzz and public engagements ahead of the formal unveiling, culminating in a colourful ceremony that drew hundreds of residents and spectators. Also present were representatives from the Ghana Police Service, Ghana National Fire Service and the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly.
According to company officials, the initiative forms part of a broader strategy to encourage more Ghanaians to view life insurance as a vital tool for financial security and family protection.
Speaking at the event, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Impact Life Insurance Limited Company, Mr. Sheriff Abudu, described Abrabopa as a thoughtfully designed product aimed at meeting the daily needs of Ghanaians by offering a comprehensive coverage, flexible premium options, and value-added benefits.
“We are excited to introduce Abrabopa to the Ghanaian public. This product provides real value, hope and peace of mind for individuals and families,” he said. “Partnering with seasoned media personality Kwabena Bediako Antwi-Dako, popularly known as I.B.K. (Wofa 1), a trusted personality in the media landscape as the brand’s official ambassador, we will surely connect with people on a more personal level.”
Mr. Sheriff Abudu further stated that the company’s decision to launch Abrabopa in Kumasi was strategic and offered the company the opportunity to thank Asanteman for their significant contribution to the growth of Impact Life Insurance.
Speaking at the event, the Northern Sector MoMo Channel Development Manager of MTN, Akwasi Kwarteng, indicated the collaboration will open opportunities for financial growth.

The Ashanti Regional Manager of the National Insurance Commission, Farouk Dramani, asked customers to be confident and trust insurance services in the country. He commended Impact Life Insurance for becoming a notable name in the insurance landscape of Ghana.
“There is an erroneous impression that insurance companies do not pay claims. But our data shows that 5 million Ghana cedis is paid daily by life insurance companies to policyholders. Customers must have confidence in insurance. Out of the 18 life insurance companies in the country, Impact Life Insurance ranks in the top 8 in terms of prompt claims payments,” he said.
The Chief Operations Officer of Impact Life Insurance, Sylvester Acheampong, outlined details of the Abrabopa policy, and said:
“The policy covers the main life (policyholder), biological parents and parents-in-law. Onboard on *170# on MTN, go to Financial Services, go to Insurance, then Impact Life. You would be instantly covered. Claims can be processed via USSD, we will require a death certificate, medical report and a Ghana card,”
The Brand Ambassador, Kwabena Bediako Antwi-Dako, also known as I.B.K or Wofa 1, brings on board more than two decades of experience in broadcasting, corporate event hosting, brand engagement, and unmatched credibility and influence on the role. His appointment as brand ambassador is expected to significantly boost awareness and public trust in the Abrabopa policy. He had this to say:
