Farmer, 36, jailed for stealing poly tank

The court presided over Alexandra Oware found the suspect, Cadman Buabeng, guilty of the offence after the full trial.

The Winneba Magistrate court has sentenced a 30-year old farmer to 12 months’ imprisonment for stealing a jumbo-sized poly tank.

He was reported to have stolen the poly tank belonging to JKBA Farms at Gomoa Adawukwa near Winneba Junction in March 2016.

According to the prosecutor in the case, the accused person together with an accomplice who are currently on the run entered the farm premises of JKBA farm and stole the jumbo-sized poly tank which was kept on the farm on March 4.

They were however spotted by a witness in the case who later lodged a complaint with the police leading to the arrest of Cadman who was identified as one of the suspects.

His accomplice only identified as Kwame Acheampong is currently on the run.
