Fire guts Achimota Forest Reserve

Fire has consumed some parts of the Achimota Forest reserve in Accra.

The blaze, eyewitnesses say began on Friday afternoon.

The cause of the fire, which has swept some parts of the Achimota school section of the forest is not known.

Fire Service personnel are busily trying to control the blaze from spreading to other parts of the forest.

Achimota Forest Reserve serves as a prayer camp for some churches; and also a recreational centre for others.
