Gary Wilson expects Ireland to stand up and be counted in a must-win World Twenty20 match against Bangladesh on Friday following their shock defeat to Oman.

Oman rose to the occasion in??their first game at a??major global tournament by inflicting a two-wicket defeat on Ireland??in??Dharamsala on Wednesday.

Another loss for Ireland would end their hopes of reaching the Super 10 stage with one Group A??game remaining, but vice-captain Wilson is backing his team-mates to show what they are capable of.

He said: "It's not the first time our backs have been against the wall.??We've been in bad situations before and come out on top.

"We're really looking forward to playing this. We've got good records in World Cups and have big players that, when they have backs against the wall, more often than not will stand up.

"You'll not find us hiding, you'll not find us giving excuses."
