Pescara midfielder Sulley Muntari joined Vice President Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia and some Muslims to break the Ramadan fast at the Flagstaff House.

Led by National Chief Imam Sheikh Nuhu Shaributu, the Ifthar at the forecourt at the Flagstaff House was attended by other Muslim dignitaries.

At the beginning of the Ramadan, Bawumia encouraged Muslims to rededicate themselves to the universal human values of love, humility and empathy.

He said the 30 day period of fasting demands "great sacrifice, patient endurance, and gratitude". It should inspires Muslims to strive for the common values and experiences we share as human beings."
