Further reports indicate that the former chairman of lead opposition party, NPP, passed away in London where he was undergoing treatment.

Speaking on Kasapa FM in Accra, one Bryan Acheampong confirmed the passing of the deceased. Acheampong is former aide to Jake Obetsebi Lamptey.

A post on the former aide's Facebook wall, reaffirmed the news of Jake Obetsebi's passing.
