Jagr scored his 741st and 742nd career NHL goals to surpass Brett Hull (741) on the all-time list.
Only Wayne Gretzky (894) and Gordie Howe (801) have more career goals than 44-year-old Jagr.
"You have to have great team-mates to pass you the puck and they did it," Jagr told the Miami Herald.
"When I got that birthday cake for my 44th birthday I made a wish that I was going to be a goalscorer. So far it’s worked so maybe I’m going to catch Gordie and Wayne Gretzky, too."

The next highest active player on the all-time list is Colorado Avalanche right wing Jerome Iginla (606) who sits in 18th.
