Parliamentarians, government officials, family and a section of the public are at the venue to pay their last respect to the legislator who was killed at his East Legon residence on February 9, 2016.
The Vice President, Amissah Arthur, former President Jerry Rawlings and other dignitaries are at the venue to pay their last respect.
The 2016 flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party Nana Akufo-Addo and other NPP dignitaries are also present.
The remains of the MP will be laid in-state for viewing between Friday and Saturday after which it will be conveyed to his hometown, Akyem Tafo, in the Eastern region for burial.
