While attempting to complete a return catch, Jongwe was struck above the right eye by the ball during Zimbabwe's 17-run win over Sharjah Cricket Club in the UAE on Tuesday.
He was subsequently taken to hospital, where an x-ray revealed no damage had been suffered.
The 21-year-old also underwent an MRI scan as a precaution and was put on a drip and kept in hospital for observation because of the chance of nausea and vomiting.
Zimbabwe start their World T20 campaign on March 8 against Hong Kong.
