Inclement weather led to the delayed finish at the Asian Tour event, and Song held his nerve at the Serapong Course.

The South Korean completed his final round with three pars, enough to end up at 12 under and a shot clear of Spieth.

Song's one-under 70 held off Spieth, who completed his tournament with a birdie and 66.

Despite failing to win, the result extended Spieth's strong run of form.

The American has now finished in the top 10 at his past seven tournaments, dating back to last year.
