Kim Grant rocked as Berekum Chelsea shock Hearts of Oak in Accra

Attuquaye's 34th minute effort separated the two sides in a pulsating game at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Hearts made an impressive start to the game by forcing newly signed goalkeeper Dan Lad Ibrahim into making some crucial saves.

Chelsea managed to hold on the Phobians and went into the break with the slim lead.

Ten minutes after the recess, the Phobains came close to finding the equaliser following a thunderous shot from Raddy Ovouka, but the effort was saved by Dan Lad Ibrahim.

Under-pressure coach Kim Grant made his first substitution by bringing on Kofi Kordzi for Aminu Alhassan, as his side chased the game.

Winger Michelle Sarpong replaced Bernard Arthur with 20 minutes left and moments later Solomon Oblitey was brought on for Kofi Owsus for the Blues.

Despite dominating the game the Rainbow club suffered their first defeat of the season in the first game of the campaign.
