530 years, British monarch King Richard III has finally gotten a burial befitting of his status as King.

Sunday, March 22nd saw about 35,000 people troop out in Leicester, England as they all came out to watch this oddly unique burial procession.

Richard III, had died in battle in 1485 and was hurriedly buried in the foundations of an old monastery in Leicester. His skeleton was finally discovered in 2012 underneath a council car parking lot.

His bones have been studied by archaeologists and experts from all fields in the years since his discovery.

The reburial ceremony gives the departed monarch a coffin and proper burial rites, things he didn't get when he died. While the ceremony featured a round of live cannons, men on horseback and numerous priests.

According to The Guardian, Richard III's casket will stay in Leicester Cathedral for public viewing until Thursday, when he will be reinterred during a service that is expected to attract members of England's royal family.
