Nii Armah Ashietey withdraws suit against Zenator

Zenator’s candidacy has been challenged by the incumbent Member of Parliament for Klottey Korle, Nii Armah Ashitey, whom she beat to the party’s ticket for the November 2016 parliamentary poll.

The incumbent Member of Parliament for the Klottey Korle constituency, Nii Armah Ashitey, has instructed his lawyer to discontinue his suit against the National Democratic Congress and Zenator Agyemang Rawlings.

According to Nii Armah Ashietey, Zenator is not a registered voter and thus her election must be declared null and void.

She, however, became a registered voter after she registered with the Electoral Commission in the recent limited voter registration exercise.

The Supreme Court subsequently cleared Zanetor to contest.

However, a letter by his lawyer said, "Take notice that the Plaintiff herein has discontinued the suit against the defendants [NDC and Zenator Agyemang Rawlings.].
