Some members of the party are seeking to solicit information from executives and members of the NDC, claiming that they are being sponsored by the office of John Mahama.

Ghana’s former president, John Dramani Mahama has said that he has not constituted a team to undertake a survey after the Kwesi Botchwey Committee submitted its report on why the National Democratic Congress (NDC) lost the 2016 elections.

The committee’s responsibility was to among other things make recommendations for the restructuring and reorganisation of the party to position it for the next general election in 2020.

The committee completed its work and handed the official findings to the party leadership at the headquarters of the NDC in Accra on Monday, June 19.

However, the office of the former President Mahama said it had received reports across the country about the activities of some members of the party seeking to solicit information from executives and members of the NDC.

The members collecting the information are said to be claiming that they are being sponsored by the Office of John Mahama.

But a statement signed by Mr Mahama’s Special Aide, Joyce Bawah Mogtari, stated that the office of the former president has not commissioned any group or team to undertake any such exercise.

The office has, therefore, warned people who are impersonating and misinforming members of the party to avoid doing so.
