Formula One: Nico Rosberg's long-term Mercedes future has yet to be resolved, and Toto Wolff says talks on a new deal are not imminent.

Nico Rosberg will have to wait until the middle of 2016 before negotiations begin on a potential new contract, says Mercedes chief Toto Wolff.

Rosberg's current deal is set to expire at the end of next season and speculation has been rife that the German could be dropped if relations with team-mate Lewis Hamilton do not improve.

Hamilton has won the Formula One driver's championship two seasons running and signed a new three-year deal with the constructor in May.

But Wolff, head of Mercedes-Benz Motorsport, says similar talks for Rosberg are not imminent.

"We will talk about an extension in the summer at the earliest," he told Speed Week.

"Until then, let's see what happens."
