Novak Djokovic happy to face fresh focus at Wimbledon

Novak Djokovic believes he can reap the benefits of defending his Wimbledon title so soon after completing the career Grand Slam at the French Open.

Djokovic will begin his bid for a third successive title at SW19 next week, having triumphed at Roland Garros for the first time earlier this month.

The world number one now holds all four slams and is firmly established as the dominant figure in the men's game, but insists he will not be resting on his laurels.

Speaking at the Boodles exhibition tournament, in which he suffered a 6-3 7-5 defeat to David Goffin, on Wednesday, Djokovic said: "There is certainly a great sense of relief [at completing a calendar Grand Slam], no doubt about it.

"But one thing we all learn in tennis is to reset a day or a week later - that's the kind of sport we're in, we don't have too much time to reflect on what we have achieved.

"Of course I'm very proud and very thrilled to be able to hold all four grand slam titles at the same time. It's a remarkable achievement for my team and I, but we are moving on and it's back on grass now and starting from scratch.

"I think it's great that behind a corner we have Wimbledon, back-to-back grand slams in less than a month. That will definitely make me focus and stay determined."

Wednesday's other matches at The Boodles saw Aljaz Bedene, Viktor Troicki and Janko Tipsarevic record respective wins over Robin Haase, Lucas Pouille and Juan Monaco.
