NRL: Gold Coast Titans beat Manly Sea Eagles

Gold Coast Titans moved into the top eight of the NRL with a 30-10 victory over Manly Sea Eagles at Cbus Super Stadium on Monday.

The Titans' three-match winning run was halted by Parramatta Eels last time out, but Neil Henry's side responded by running in five tries in a comfortable victory which dealt a blow to Manly's hopes of earning a spot in the finals.

An early Luke Douglas try set the tone and Anthony Don was on hand to clinically touch down in the corner before Josh Hoffman's try made it 16-0 with only 20 minutes gone.

The Sea Eagles, again without captain Jamie Lyon who was a late withdrawal, got on the board when Apisai Koroisau's offload allowed Jorge Taufua to go over, with the halfback converting before a Tyrone Roberts penalty made it 18-6 at the break.

Ryan James took a clever Nathan Peats pass to score a fourth try for the home side early in the second half and Nene Macdonald added another with Manly on the ropes after Brayden Wiliame scored in the corner for Trent Barrett's men.

Roberts scored 10 points with the boot as Manly were consigned to a defeat which leaves them languishing third from bottom.
