Vital statistics of the 2017 AFCON after semi-finals

Egypt defeated Burkina Faso 4-3 on penalties to book their ticket to the finals of the 2017 AFCON, while Cameroon hammered Ghana 2-0 in the second semi-finals game to set a date with the Pharaohs in a repeat of the 2008 final.

Wins

Eighteen (18) wins have been recorded in twenty-eight (30) games played after the after the semi-finals. Cameroon drew goalless against Senegal and subsequently won 5-4 penalties, whereas Egypt too advanced to the final after beating Burkina Faso on penalties. These two games ended in draws, following 120 minutes of football and the tie had to be broken via penalty shootout.

Whereas seventeen (17) wins were chalked in twenty-eight (30) games in 2015, after the semi-finals.
