Okomfo Yaw Appiah who agreed to a face off with Bishop Daniel Obinim at the Jackson's Park in Kumasi failed to make an appearance claiming he is under house arrest.

Ashanti Regional Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Mohammed Tanko has told Pulse.com.gh that Okomfo Yaw Appiah has not been put under house arrest, but rather he is being held  in protective custody.

According to ASP Tanko the police had information that  scores of Bishop Obinim’s supporters had planned to invade and attack Okomfo Yaw’s residence and decided to give him protection.

“Supporters of Bishop Obinim were going to invade the fetish priest’s house and attack him so we sent the men there to prevent that from happening’, he said.

Okomfo Yaw Appiah who agreed on a face off with Bishop Daniel Obinim at the Jacksons Park in Kumasi failed to make an appearance claiming he is under  house arrest.

ASP Tanko added that the protective custody did not restrict Okomfo Yaw Appiah’s movement.
