In Wednesday's late game, Panama faced struggling Nicaragua and the latter had little luck in trying to reverse the formbook as they went down 99-60, despite the best efforts of top-scorer Vansdell Thomas (20 points).

It was the collective effort of the hosts that saw them over the line as Michael Hicks (16), Edward Jones (15) and Josimar Ayarza (13) all registered double-figure points.

The Dominican Republic beat defending champions Mexico 82-69, despite falling behind early.

The U.S. Virgin Islands secured their second win of the tournament with a 75-68 victory over Costa Rica, while Puerto Rico were the other victors, posting a 101-69 win over Cuba.
