In an interview,  the NPP vice chairman in the Eastern region, Alhaji Omar Bodinga confirmed that the MP had been sick for some time.

"About three weeks ago, I was at Abetifi and I had news from the executives that the MP is not well"

He would not comment on the MP's death until he is official informed by the Abetifi constituency executives.

Before he went to parliament he was the Managing Director, Paramount Distilleries.
