Pat Richards has seemingly played his last game of rugby league after it was announced the wing had sustained a knee injury.

Last month, the 34-year-old announced that this season would be his last, and Catalans Dragons confirmed on Thursday that his campaign was over due to a knee problem.

A Grand Final winner in NRL with Wests Tigers and in Super League with Wigan Warriors, Richards scored over 3,000 points across a 16-year playing career.

Born in Australia, Richards represented Ireland at the 2008 and 2013 World Cups through his father's side.
