Peyton Manning addresses UT allegations with Forrest Gump joke

As Peyton Manning wrapped up his retirement speech and fielded questions from reporters, someone had to step up and ask the question about what happened in a Tennessee locker room in 1996.

The story has been the topic of conversation for several weeks with a lot of investigative reporting done on the issue.

USA Today's Lindsay Jones was the one to put the question to the former Indianapolis Colts and Denver Broncos quarterback.

Manning's response?

"It is sad that some people don't understand the truth and the facts.??I did not do what has been alleged and I'm not interested in re-litigating??something that happened when I was 19 years old," he said.

"This is a joyous day, this is a special day and like Forrest Gump said, 'That's all I have to say about that.'"
