Movie gets new release date

The upcoming big screen reboot of the classic kids' TV series 'Power Rangers' has a new release date.

According to Lionsgate, the upcoming reboot will be released on January 13, 2017, as against the earlier announced July 22, 2016.

With Zack Stentz and Ashley Miller(X-Men: First Class, Thor) scripting, the upcoming reboot will see Haim Saban producing alongside Brian Casentini and Allison Shearmur.

The 1st production in the TV series 'Mighty Morphin Power Rangers ', made its debut in 1993, with its sequels following in 1995 and 1997.

The 1995 and 1997 sequels earned a combined $75 million at the worldwide box office.
