Nduom had an easy contest at NCCE debate - Ghanaians say

This was revealed in a poll run by Pulse.com.gh on Twitter.

Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom, the presidential candidate of the Progressive People’s Party (PPP) won Wednesday’s presidential debate organised by the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) and the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC), a majority of Ghanaians have said.

This was revealed in a poll run by Pulse.com.gh on Twitter.

Dr Nduom emerged first with 127 votes, followed by John Dramani Mahama of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) with 104 votes.

The flagbearer of the Convention People’s Party (CPP), Ivor Greenstreet came third with 17 votes, with Jacob Osei Yeboah, the independent presidential candidate managing 12 votes.

It appeared people were not impressed with the performance of Edward Mahama, the People’s National Convention (PNC) flagbearer as he only had 10 votes.

The poll by Pulse Twitter followed conversations around as to who was best able to express himself and convince voters at the presidential debate.

The various candidates of the parties outlined various measures their government will provide to solve the challenges in the educational sector, health, energy and other sectors of the economy during the debate on Wednesday.

The flagbearer of the largest opposition party Nana Akufo-Addo NPP and National Democratic Party (NDP)'s Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings were, however, missing in action.

The debate was held at the Banquet Hall of the State House and was moderated by Dan Afari Yeboah of “What do You Know" fame and Mrs. Selikem Acolatse Apaloo.
