It has emerged that former President John Mahama approved a two-acre plot of land to be allocated to former President John Kufuor.

This was made known by Frank Agyekum, the spokesperson of former President Kufuor.
Frank Agyekum said in an interview with Accra-based Citi FM.

The revelation comes after it was disclosed that former President Jerry Rawlings has recently requested and been given a four-acre land by the Mahama administration for the purposes of a foundation.
A letter from the Lands Commission said the land was to be given as part of entitlements enjoyed by former presidents. However, what has caused controversy is that the president would have to pay rent of a mere 10 cedis annually for 99 years for the lease.
