Milos Raonic is confident he can return to the world's top 10 as he edges closer to full fitness.

The Canadian endured a difficult year as foot and back injuries held him back and led to his campaign ending after Shanghai in October.

A former world number four who has slipped to 14th in the rankings, Raonic said he was capable of climbing back among the top 10.
"I didn't play [healthy] nine months and I didn't finish too far outside the top 10," he said on Thursday.
"I think I can work my way back."
Raonic moved into the Mubadala World Tennis Championship semi-finals with a 6-3 6-4 win over Kevin Anderson.

Asked about his fitness, the 25-year-old said he was healthy.
"I feel, I would say, as close to 100 per cent as I have been in a long time," Raonic said.
"You never feel 100 but I would say 97 per cent. I feel 97 per cent."
