Artisans working on the Kasoa interchange have laid down their tools  protesting against unfair working conditions.

The workers complain they are not being treated with respect by two supervisors of the project, Miguel and Fernando.

According to them, they are being laid off indiscriminately without any reason. So far 12 of the workers have been sacked.

The project which being executed by Brazilian firm, Queiroz Galvao commenced in August 2015 and it's expected to be completed in November 2015.

It is unclear how long the protest will last and the effect  it will have on the completion date for the project but Pulse News understands that the workers are in a meeting with management of the construction firm to resolve the impasse
