The Cleveland Indians are flying high atop the American League central division as Jose Ramirez's walk-off single in the 10th drove home Rajai Davis against the Chicago White Sox.

The hit secured a 3-2 win and improved the Indians' record this season to 38-30 and sealed a three-game sweep of the White Sox.

The Baltimore Orioles found form with the bat as they punished Toronto Blue Jays' starting pitcher Marcus Stroman for his third loss of the season in an 11-6 victory.

Matt Wieters went four-for-five and was a triple shy of the cycle as he notched four RBIs against the Jays.

Julio Teheran picked up his third win of the season for the Atlanta Braves as he shut out the New York Mets in a 6-0 win, while the Miami Marlins also recorded a shutout as they beat the Colorado Rockies 3-0.

The San Francisco Giants were 5-1 winners over the Tampa Bay Rays, the Arizona Diamondbacks beat the Philadelphia Phillies by the same scoreline, the Boston Red Sox edged the Seattle Mariners 2-1 and the New York Yankees fell to the Minnesota Twins 7-4.

The Houston Astros shutout the Cincinnati Reds in an emphatic 6-0 win, while it was a much closer run thing for the Texas Rangers as they beat the St. Louis Cardinals 5-4, while the Los Angeles Angels were 2-0 winners against the Oakland Athletics.

The Los Angeles Dodgers took out the Milwaukee Brewers in a 2-1 triumph, with the San Diego Padres getting the job done against the Washington Nationals in a 6-3 win.

Elsewhere, the Kansas City Royals needed extra innings to beat the Detroit Tigers 2-1 while the Chicago Cubs beat the Pittsburgh Pirates 10-5.
