World's richest man throws $8 million wedding for only daughter

Indian billionaire businessman Ravi Pillai, threw a world class wedding ceremony for his only daughter Arathi, as she tied the knot with her husband, Aditya Vishnu.

The extravagant wedding is estimated to be about 550 million rupees or $8 million.

Arathi and Aditya's wedding reception was designed by one of India's popular film directors, Sabu Cyril,which took approximately 75 days and 8 acres to build.

Over 30,000 guests from 42 countries were invited to the elaborate wedding including royal families of Qatar, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia.

Senior executives from Samsung and Japan Gas Corporation were also flown in for the wedding.

Pillai was ranked by Forbes as one of the world's richest men with a net worth of $2.3 billion USD.
