The deceased, Ebenezer Akuaku, 48, Eric Dorglo, 31, Ativor Christopher, 29 and Elikem, 4 died in the accident.

According to an eye-witnesses, the accident occurred when the driver of an unregistered Toyota Corolla with a DP Number 1928A-16, which was heading towards Dawenya direction from Tema attempted to overtake a vehicle.

The Toyota Corrolla driver lost control of the vehicle to the opposite side of the road, running into a parked fuel tanker at the road side.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) William Jabialu who confirmed the incident explained that portions of the road should be redesigned to minimise the numerous accidents which have been happening on it.

The bodies of the deceased have since been deposited at the Tema General Hospital mortuary.
