Police say the truck was trying to overtake another vehicle when it hit some mourners who were walking along the road to the cemetery to bury the body.

The truck also hit a taxi cab which was conveying the dead body, as well as one Hyundai Bus with passengers.

Five died on the spot, and three died later. The injured are receiving treatment at the Oda Government Hospital.
