Sean Lamont has been called into the Scotland squad for the forthcoming tour to Japan as a replacement for the injured Tim Visser.

Visser picked up a knee injury during Harlequins' Challenge Cup final defeat to Montpellier last week, ruling him out of the Tests in Toyota (June 18) and Tokyo (June 25).

The inclusion of 104-times capped Glasgow Warriors wing Lamont follows the announcement this week that centre Matt Scott would replace Alex Dunbar (knee).

Vern Cotter's 27-man party head to Japan on June 11 after a training camp at Murrayfield.
