This week's episode of 'Scandal' is a trending topic on Twitter.

The episode titled 'The Lawn Chair'  focused on the shooting of an unarmed black teen, Brandon Parker, in Washington D.C., very close to the White House.

In this powerful and emotional episode, Shonda Rhimes referenced the events of Ferguson.

Fans took to twitter to react. While the episode hit so close to home for some, others congratulated Shonda for addressing the shooting deaths of unarmed black men.
