Former Volta Regional Minister, Helen Adjoa Ntoso has advised President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to exercise utmost caution as he attempts to fix what he says is a heavily indebted economy.

The president of Ghana in delivering his maiden State of the Nation Address on Tuesday February 21 2017 in parliament mentioned that the economic situation of the country requires immediate action and that he is in a hurry to fix it, urging all Ghanaians to be in a hurry. “I have heard it said that I am behaving like a man in a hurry. Mr. Speaker, I am, indeed, in a hurry, I am in a great hurry."

“He should not rush. He should go slowly and should seek the guidance of God,”

She noted “should the President rush in doing things, he will hit a snag, hence wants him to take his time because he has four years to fix the economy.”

The outspoken Member of Parliament added saying that, “the president cannot afford not to fix the economy, he should better do because Ghanaians will come after him if he fails”.
