President Akufo-Addo first spoke on the Sports Fund and Sports Act that will be established under his tenure.

"This year we will continue the passing of a legislative instrument of the National Youth and Sports Act, pursue the enactment of the draft of National Sports College Bill and create a Sports Fund to improve Sports Development in the Country.”

He also went on to speak on infrastructural sports development as he tacked the rehabilitation of the Accra Sports Stadium and construction of pitches in the Zongo to develop colts football.

We have begun the rehabilitation of the Accra Sports Stadium, aka Ohene Djan Sports Stadium, and in partnership with the Inner City and Zongo Development Ministry and the Ghana Football Association.

" We are constructing a number of football pitches in the Zongos and across the rest of the country, to aid in the revival of colts football, which has been responsible for the production of talents like Abedi Pele and Tony Yeboah".
