Player of African origin have contributed massively in many international teams

Many football teams have benefitted from immigration. The most notable example of this is the French national team - both past and present.

Even though no African country has won the World Cup, here are four players who trace their roots to Africa and have won the prestigious trophy with foreign countries.

He is a French retired professional footballer and current manager of Real Madrid. He has an Algerian descent and won the World Cup with France in 1998 scoring twice in the final.
