Queensland's Sam Thaiday could miss the final State of Origin game next month after being cited for a grade two dangerous challenge during Wednesday's 26-16 win that secured the series.

The Brisbane Broncos second row was placed on report during the first half at Suncorp Stadium following a challenge on New South Wales captain Paul Gallen.
Thaiday's warning from referee Gerard Sutton came after just 13 minutes of Game II as he appeared to spear tackle Gallen to break up a Blues attack just inside the Maroons half.
Should Thaiday plead guilty to the charge he will earn a two-week suspension – meaning he could play in Game III on July 13 - but if he chooses to fight the disciplinary his ban could be extended to cover the match in Sydney.
