Student kills friend with fetish ring, reports self to police

A secondary school student has reported himself to the police after killing his friend with a voodoo ring he prepared himself.

gathered that the alleged 'killing' happened on Thursday afternoon at Agbe community, headquarters of Akoko Northwest LGA, Ondo State.

The self-confessed killer, identified as Ade, reportedly hit his friend Muyiwa, also a student, with a fetish ring called "Oruka Oogun" among the Yoruba.

He then reported to the police.

Ade told the police that he prepared the charm by himself after following instructions he found in his late father's traditional medicine reference book.

The incident which led to his friend's death was, according to him, an attempt to test the efficacy.

Police reportedly detained him at Oke-Agbe Police Station.

There has however been no official statement from the police on the matter.
