The vigil was held at the premises of Radio Gold in an attempt to get President Mahama to intervene in their friends situations.

One of the organizers Peter Bamfo told Pulse.com.gh that President John Mahama will be acting within the confines of the law if he grants pardon to the Montie 3. Bamfo said they are dumbfounded over arguments that his group is calling on the president to interfere in the work of the Judiciary.

“We are in a dispensation of the rule of law and so if others are saying they are acting within the jurisdiction of our laws, we are also going to gather signatures to call on our president to use the constitutional powers that he has been mandated by our constitution.”

Bamfo  said if there are any positives in the imprisonment of their friends it is that , the NDC  has been made stronger and a force to reckon with.

He appealed to all party faithfuls and members of the general public to ensure they come sign the petition to increase the numbers.
