The Black Stars Team B have been added to the list to be awarded by the Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG).
The Black Stars Team B which comprises of players based locally failed to make it to the CHAN tournament but retribution came for the side as the 2017 WAFU Cup came along.
Ghana emerged champions in the sub-regional tournament led by Coach Maxwell Konadu and that has seen them earn a nomination in the 2017 SWAG awards.
The Black Stars B team have been listed alongside national female hockey team Black Sticks and the arm wrestling team the Golden Arms.
The BlackSticks made it into the list by virtue of placing 2nd in the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa.
The GoldenArms also put in some a massive showing at the 2017 African Arm Wrestling Championship in Nigeria where they grabbed 21 medals at the event.
Three players in Stephen Sarfo, Amos Frimpong and Thomas Abbey have been nominated for local player of the year.
