How to take a screenshot on your phone

There are various reasons why you may want to take a picture of your screen – aka a screenshot. You may be getting an error message that you want to show to tech-support. You may want to capture an information you found online to share with a friend.

Whatever the reason, here’s how to go about it without downloading any apps.

For iPhones, iPads or Samsung Galaxy devices: Press the Home button and the Sleep button together simultaneously.

On other Android phones: Press the Home button and the volume down button together simultaneously.

In both instances, an image is created in your camera roll, within your photos app. You can send it, print it, or edit it just like you would any other photo.
