Carla Suarez Navarro is up to a career-high sixth in the WTA rankings following her victory in Saturday's Qatar Open final.

The Spaniard came from a set down to defeat Jelena Ostapenko 1-6 6-4 6-4 on the hard court in Doha, clinching her second WTA Tour crown.

As a result, Suarez Navarro has now ascended five places in the rankings, while Flavia Pennetta drops out of the top 10, from ninth to 11th.

Garbine Muguruza leapfrogged Simona Halep to take fourth place while on the ATP Tour there was no movement inside the top 10.

Nick Kyrgios moved up to 27th in the world, two places off his career best, after winning the Open 13 and last week's run to the Dubai Tennis Championships semi-finals.
