Production begins on sequel 'Allegiant'

Lionsgate has announced that filming has kicked off on the upcoming Divergent sequel 'Allegiant - Part 1.'

Based on Veronica Roth book series of same name, 'Allegiant - Part 1' stars Shailene Woodley, Theo James, Octavia Spencer,  Naomi Watts, Jeff Daniels, Ray Stevenson, Zoë Kravitz, Miles Teller, Ansel Elgort, Maggie Q, Keiynan Lonsdale and Jonny Weston, Mekhi Phifer, Daniel Dae Kim, Nadia Hilker and Bill Skarsgård.

Plot.

Beatrice Prior and Tobias Eaton venture into the world outside of the fence and are taken into protective custody by a mysterious agency known as the Bureau of Genetic Welfare.

Allegiant – Part 1 will hit theaters on March 18, 2016, while  Allegiant – Part 2 has been scheduled for March 24, 2017.
