Using scissors, a scalpel, glue, and an X-ACTO knife, paper artist Calvin Nicholls has created a series of works that are a border between 2D and 3D.

Merging his interests in wild life and art, Nicholls recreates a zoo of sorts with a variety of animals from birds with delicate feathers to sleepy bears and sniffing dogs, all looking like their poised to pop right out of the paper.
