According to reports a Tipper Truck with registration number BA 730-12 loaded with quarry materials collided with a Nissan Santra vehicle with registration number GC 4887-09.

The injured including some Returning Officers of the Electoral Commission (EC) who are in critical condition have been rushed to the Sunyani Regional hospital for medical attention.

The police who were at the scene had to cut the Nissan Sentra into pieces to be able to remove the bodies.

Meanwhile, the driver of the tipper truck and his mate have escaped from the scene.
